Recap | Boxscore

HOUSTON (Ticker) -- The Houston Rockets try to improve to 5-1 at home and keep the Golden State Warriors winless on the road when they meet on Wednesday at the Toyota Center.

The Rockets, who are playing their only home contest of an eight-game stretch, beat Philadelphia on Monday, 74-66, behind a stellar defensive effort.

Cuttino Mobley scored 19 points and Yao Ming added 12 and 14 rebounds for Houston, which shot only 33 percent (26-of-80) but limited the 76ers to 32 percent (23-of-73), including 0-of-9 from the arc.

Earlier Wednesday, the Rockets activated forward Maurice Taylor, whose suspension for violating the NBA's substance abuse policy was reduced from 10 games to six on Monday. The victory over the Sixers was the final game of his suspension.

The Warriors fell to 0-3 on the road with a 94-81 setback at San Antonio on Tuesday, their third defeat in a row.

Erick Dampier collected 17 points and 11 rebounds, Clifford Robinson added 14 points and Jason Richardson 13 for Golden State, which allowed the Spurs to make half of their shots and fell to 0-2 on a three-game road trip.

Houston went 3-1 against Golden State last season, splitting the two games here.
