New Orleans Hornets at Boston Celtics

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The New Orleans Hornets can notch a fourth straight victory on Wednesday when they visit the Boston Celtics.

New Orleans matched a season high with its third straight triumph with Tuesday's 88-85 victory at New Jersey. Baron Davis recorded 25 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds and former Celtic David Wesley drained a pair of key 3-pointers and netted 20 points.

The Hornets held a commanding 50-38 advantage on the glass and George Lynch grabbed 17 rebounds. Jamaal Magloire added 12 rebounds for New Orleans, which had 19 offensive boards.

Although New Orleans lost both visits to Boston last season, it posted a 97-90 home victory over the Celtics on November 1. Davis nailed six 3-pointers and poured in 37 points and Wesley chipped in 18 points.

Boston blew a 16-point halftime lead and suffered an 89-86 loss at New York on Monday. Vin Baker finished with 20 points and eight rebounds and Paul Pierce made 6-of-20 shots for 17 points. Pierce is shooting just 36 percent (59-of-164) in his last eight games.

The Celtics are 3-2 at home this season.
