Malik Rose scored a season-high 23 points and Tim Duncan added 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Spurs, which rallied from a nine-point deficit in the first quarter with their best defensive effort of the season. Hedo Turkoglu grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds, Bruce Bowen added nine and Rose collected eight as San Antonio held a 53-40 advantage on the glass. Golden State opened a three-game road trip with a 106-104 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday. Jason Richardson had 31 points and eight rebounds but missed a layup with five seconds left for the Warriors, who have lost their first two road games of the season and six in a row dating to last season. Clifford Robinson scored 16 points, Mike Dunleavy Jr. added 14 and Erick Dampier had 11 points and 15 rebounds for Golden State, which shot 53 percent (43-of-82) from the floor but made just 11-of-19 free throws.
