Washington Wizards at Atlanta Hawks

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Washington Wizards try to avoid a fifth straight defeat when they visit the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena on Monday.

The Wizards were blown out at home by San Antonio on Saturday, 95-71. Washington held a nine-point lead after one quarter, but was outscored over the middle two quarters by 53-23.

Gilbert Arenas scored 14 points on 4-of-19 shooting to pace Washington. Larry Hughes had 10 points before being ejected in the second quarter for throwing the ball after being whistled for a foul.

Atlanta had won two of three after a 1-5 start, before falling to New Jersey here on Saturday, 100-85.

Jason Terry had 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists to pace the Hawks, who shot just 38 percent (29-of-76).

The Hawks and Wizards split their four games last season, with Atlanta taking the last two.
