New Jersey Nets at Atlanta Hawks

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The New Jersey Nets try to continue their recent success against the Atlanta Hawks when they visit Philips Arena on Saturday.

The Nets have won seven of their last 10 meetings with the Hawks after losing 17 of the previous 24. They won three of four games in the 2002-03 season series, losing here on April 9.

New Jersey has split its last six visits to Atlanta following an 11-game losing streak. The Hawks are 46-12 all time at home vs. the Nets.

New Jersey avoided a three-game losing streak by recording an 85-80 victory over the New York Knicks at home on Friday.

Jason Kidd scored 11 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter and dished out 10 assists for the Nets, who won despite missing 13 free throws.

Kenyon Martin collected 21 points and 10 rebounds and Kerry Kittles added 15 points as New Jersey snapped a three-game home losing streak.

Atlanta finished a tough five-game road trip with a 99-94 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.

Dion Glover scored 23 points and Stephen Jackson added 18 for the Hawks, who made 10-of-21 3-pointers and 15-of-18 free throws.

Jason Terry scored 17 points and Shareef Abdur-Rahim collected 16 points and eight rebounds as Atlanta won for just the second time in seven road games this season.
