SEATTLE (Ticker) -- Mike Cameron provided a dramatic ending to a wild ninth inning.

Cameron belted a grand slam off Danys Baez with none out in the bottom of the ninth, giving the Seattle Mariners a thrilling 8-5 victory over the Cleveland Indians.

Cameron's fourth career grand slam came after Mariners closer Kazuhiro Sasaki allowed three runs in the top of the inning. The Japanese righthander, who absorbed his fourth blown save, retired just two batters before leaving with tightness in his lower back.

But the Mariners were able to erase a 5-3 deficit in the bottom of the inning against Baez (0-2), who failed to record an out.

Randy Winn led off with an infield hit and Bret Boone walked. Edgar Martinez stroked an RBI single and Boone raced to third with the tying run.

Baez walked John Olerud to load the bases and Cameron followed by launching an 0-1 pitch over the left field wall for his second homer of the season.

Cameron's blast made a winner out of Giovanni Carrara (1-0), who recorded the final out in the top of the ninth.
