MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Jacque Jones' two-run single capped a four-run sixth inning and Kyle Lohse continued his strong start with 6 1/3 solid innings as the Minnesota Twins continued their dominance of the Detroit Tigers with a 6-4 triumph.

Detroit, which has dropped 13 straight games to Minnesota, took a 2-1 lead into the sixth. But an RBI triple by Cristian Guzman against Tigers starter Mike Maroth (0-4) knotted the contest and Matt LeCroy made it 3-2 with an infield hit.

After an RBI double by Luis Rivas, Jones greeted reliever Jamie Walker with a single up the middle to make it 6-2.

Lohse (2-1) allowed four runs - two earned - and just three hits. He walked two, struck out eight and has a 1.69 ERA through three outings this season.

LaTroy Hawkins got two outs in the seventh and J.C. Romero worked a hitless eighth before Eddie Guardado worked in and out of trouble in the ninth. Guardado retired Craig Paquette on a long fly ball to center field with the tying run aboard to notch his fifth save.

Maroth allowed five runs and nine hits in 5 1/3 innings. The major league leader in losses walked one and struck out three.
