BOSTON (Ticker) -- Opening Day at Fenway Park will have to wait until Saturday.

Steady rain and cold temperatures postponed Friday's game between the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox.

It has been rescheduled as part of a day-night doubleheader on Saturday. The home opener is at 1:05 p.m. EDT and the night game will be at 7:05 p.m. EDT.

Fans with ponchos and umbrellas were treated to an extravagant ceremony on Friday. Lou Rawls sang the national anthem and Ray Charles performed "America the Beautiful" on a baby grand piano in front of the Red Sox dugout.

Each team was introduced to the crowd as light rain began to fall.
