Recap | Boxscore

PHOENIX (Ticker) -- The St. Louis Cardinals will be back at full strength on Sunday afternoon when they conclude the season against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

St. Louis was shorthanded in Saturday's 3-2 victory. Manager Tony La Russa, catcher Mike Matheny and second baseman Fernando Vina all missed the game due to suspensions and the entire trio will be available on Sunday.

Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan, who served as interim manager the first two games of this series, will serve his one-game suspension on Sunday.

Edgar Renteria became the first National League shortstop this season to reach the 100-RBI plateau with an RBI groundout in the third inning. The last shortstop to accomplish the feat was Montreal's Hubie Brooks in 1985.

St. Louis' Albert Pujols holds a narrow lead over Colorado's Todd Helton for the National League batting lead. Pujols is hitting .3584 and Helton is at .3575 entering the final day of the season.

Retiring Arizona first baseman Mark Grace went 2-for-3 in the final start of his career. Grace, who announced his retirement on Friday, is expected to pinch hit at some point in Sunday's game.

Brandon Webb (10-8, 2.75 ERA) tries to bounce back from his worst start of the season for Arizona. Webb, who is among the contenders for Rookie of the Year honors, was pounded for 10 runs and seven hits in four innings in Tuesday's 20-9 loss at Colorado.

Webb has never pitched against St. Louis. The 24-year-old righthander is 4-1 with a 2.77 ERA in eight day starts this year.

Woody Williams (17-7, 3.90) is 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA in his last two starts for St. Louis. Williams yielded just one run and three hits on Tuesday in a 5-1 victory at Milwaukee.

The righthander is just 5-6 with a 5.18 ERA on the road. Williams is 4-3 lifetime against the Diamondbacks, including a victory on April 18.
