Correia made his last start last Sunday against Los Angeles and allowed five runs and six hits in four innings and did not receive a decision in a 7-5 setback. He was tagged for four homers. The 23-year-old righthander is 1-0 with a 2.30 ERA at home. Correia has issued eight walks in his last 11 2/3 innings. Resurgent Wilson Alvarez (6-1, 1.94) gets the baseball for Los Angeles. Alvarez has won his last seven decisions and is 4-0 with a microscopic 0.77 ERA in his last five outings. The veteran southpaw is making his first start this year against the Giants. Alvarez tossed a pair of scoreless innings here in a 6-0 victory on June 25 in his first career appearance against San Francisco.
