Recap | Boxscore

MIAMI (Ticker) -- Dontrelle Willis makes his final tuneup for the playoffs on Sunday as the Florida Marlins end their regular season against the New York Mets at Pro Player Stadium.

Willis (13-6, 3.41 ERA), who has had a stellar rookie season for the Marlins, is 2-0 in four games since losing his fourth straight decision on September 2 vs. Pittsburgh. On Tuesday, he did not factor in a 5-4 win over Philadelphia after allowing three runs and five hits in six innings.

Willis is 2-0 with an excellent 0.56 ERA in two games against the Mets this campaign.

The Marlins, who clinched the National League wild card berth Friday and will face the San Francisco Giants in the Division Series, started just two regulars and were rocked by the Mets on Saturday, 9-3.

Raul Gonzalez had a two-run triple to highlight a seven-run seventh inning for the Mets, who had lost 18 of their previous 21 games.

Jeremy Griffiths (1-3, 6.81) will make his ninth appearance and sixth start for the Mets. The righthander lost to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in his last start, on September 15, when he gave up four runs - three earned - and six hits in four innings.

Griffiths has never faced the Mets before.
